Hi!
I spoke with my eye doctor earlier this month and he basically said that there are no eyedrops for glaucoma that are safe for early pregnancy. Basically I either have to take the drops to treat the glaucoma, or stop taking them and take the chance that my vision goes away and have a baby.
Has anyone else had this choice to make? What did you do and why?
Confused,
Kate
Hi. Well do know your eye history but i guess for everyone its different. I have glaucoma, anaridia & nastagmus. I am a mother to a 22mth old & use eye drops. I have to take my eye drops everyday. I didnt have to stop my drops or change them but i would go see my eye doctor while pregnant. The drops i use are combigan & lumigan. It hasn't been determined if my son has it, but it is heriedetry. So that something else to consider. Don't know if this helps but its what ive gone through & continue to go through...
Thanks, Bella :)
I am on Combigan at the moment and my eye doctor advised that I don't take it while pregnant...
No problem... Hmm i used mine while pregnant my eye doctor jus had me come in every 3months to check the pressure, but didnt change drops. But everyone has different eye conditions even health ones so mayb thats why your doctor said that..
I was doing some research online and noticed that Combigan shoulodn't be taken while pregnant... even says so on the box... so probably a bad idea for me to take it.
